Credo Blues Society

An all-star New Orleans Blues act that performs around the world!

Chuck Credo IV and his “brotherhood of bleeding hearts” make up an all-star conglomeration of New Orleans talent that springs from the heart of the city itself. Chuck Credo IV continues his twenty-plus year music career as one of the area’s premier guitarists and music-business pioneers with The Credo Blues Society.
“The goal of CBS is to reach into the most inner sanctum of the human soul and bring about a revival of hope, love, and peace through the music of the blues. Our job is that of musical exorcists who change minds and hearts away from sorrow and towards a brighter day.”

The Credo Blues Society was founded in 2005 by the Most Reverend William “Chuck” Credo IV who is widely-known to many as the best guitarist to come out of New Orleans in the new milllenium. Credo’s foundation in music began with his grandfather, Chuck Credo Jr, who toured the world playing Dixieland Jazz and blues with his group “The Basin Street Six.” After years of studying the works of the greats such as Buddy Guy, BB King, and Eric Clapton, Credo’s turn at bat came in mid-2005 after Hurricane Katrina destroyed his home of New Orleans. Vowing to be a part of the cultural reconstruction of his hometown, Credo formed “The Credo Blues Society”, a conglomeration of music talent from New Orleans who’s focus is the musical preservation of all forms of the blues, especially the sounds of New Orleans R&B.
